Week 2
This week we talked a bit more about Market Research and the factors involved in finding the right market, and estimating market size for a product. We worked on team building and looked at some more patents and product ideas. My team looked at a fan that orients itself by detecting people around it.
Looking at different patents gave me some ideas on what kind of product I want to look at. I'm interested in more technical products, preferably software related because I'm in a better position to understand software patents than other kinds of patents. I also found energy related patents to be interesting, because the market for sustainable energy and environmentally conscious products will grow massively in the next few decades as we run out of fossil fuels and cut back on carbon emissions.
I'm looking for team members who are passionate about similar patents/fields. I'd preferably like to work with 1 more engineer, 1 business major, and 1 person from a different major entirely. I'm looking to form a team with people who are interested in taking responsibility, but are also willing to balance workload and demands in the team. I'm looking forward to more team building activities in the coming weeks
Hi Dhurv, I'm also interested in software patents and I'd love to meet you personally in the class to talk more about the ideas!
ReplyDeleteHi Dhruv! From a business perspective, I also find technology and software an interesting area to explore as it's constantly developing and there is always a market to sell to. I would love to hear more about your ideas/interests for this project.
ReplyDeleteHi Dhruv,
ReplyDeleteAs a CS/Stats major technology patents seem to be the most easily usable in building business around especially using the IPIRA. The surplus of great tech inventions coming from the EECS department makes tech patents a great place to start. I'm excited to hear about your project.
ReplyDeleteHey Dhruv, I created my own major combining economics, sociology, business, IEOR, City & Regional Planning. I have work experience in marketing, business development, web design, and operations management. Would be happy to work with you :)
Hey Dhruv! I am also very interested in sustainable and renewable energy as you can see in my blog. I also completely agree that it is important to work with people from completely different backgrounds! I'm excited to see what you guys create, good luck!
ReplyDeleteHi Dhruv, I agree with you that it is important alternative and sustainable energy sources in view that fossil fuels are depleting. Sustainability is one area I am particularly interested in and am looking forward to see what you would be working on!
ReplyDeleteHey Dhruv, I think that alternative and sustainable energy sources are very important for our future; unfortunately, the way our country is heading we might not be able to work on it LOL
